Sol extending its Service Station Network

Sol, the Caribbean’s leading supplier of energy solutions, is pleased to announce that Sol’s game-changing SolXtend™ fuel will soon be available at nine more locations across Barbados. This move reflects Sol’s commitment to meeting and exceeding the needs of the market and providing only the best fuels to drivers in Barbados.

This exciting development comes as Sol ends its license agreement with ExxonMobil for the distribution of Esso-branded fuels through its retail network in Barbados, all of which will be rebranded to Sol service stations and will provide drivers with SolXtend™ fuel.

Sol would like to thank Esso customers for their patronage and loyalty over the past decades, and we confirm our commitment to delivering an enhanced experience through our refreshed Sol-branded network, our SolXtend™ fuel and our other high-quality products and services.

Commenting on the upcoming change, which will see Sol gradually expanding its network to a total of 23 service stations around the island, Roger Barrow, General Manager of Sol Barbados Limited, said that Sol is inviting Esso customers to discover the benefits of SolXtend™ fuel, and that the company is confident that these customers will be as pleased with its quality, reliability and efficiency as customers who already use SolXtend™ fuel.

Backed by rigorous testing, research & development, SolXtend™ has been formulated to give drivers more miles and less engine maintenance. SolXtend™ works by ridding vehicle engines of harmful deposits and coating the intake system of the engine with a protective film to prevent deposits from developing. The cleaning effect of SolXtend™ results in better performance and less engine maintenance. It also helps reduce vehicles’ fuel consumption, giving drivers better mileage for fewer fill-ups.

From next week, drivers will begin to notice continued updates being conducted on Esso-branded service stations as we gradually rebrand each of these stations to Sol service stations with Sol’s familiar branding, and the modern, vibrant SolXtend™ brand elements. These updates will take place in both the forecourt where drivers fill up their tanks and also in the convenience store area, where customers will be able to pick up their favorite on-the-go food, snacks and drinks. As we conduct this work, great care will be taken to minimize disruption to customers. However, during a very short period, some of our sites will be closed briefly. In such cases, we will notify the public in advance of these temporary closures and will provide information on the nearest Sol stations that are open for business. The rebranding process will commence on July 8 in a phased approach and is expected to be completed by September, 2024.
