Shell Lubricants sponsors the GTI

Sol Guyana Inc. has joined forces with the Government Technical Institute (GTI) in Georgetown, Guyana to secure the future for students of the Motor Vehicle Engine Systems Program with a three-year sponsorship pledge. Under the arrangement, Sol Guyana Inc. the Country’s Shell Lubricants Macro Distributor, will provide two students selected from the program with annual industrial job attachments, and also present an annual prize to the highest performing student in the program. Other support will include lubricants technical training delivered in association with Shell Lubricants; personal protective equipment for staff and students enrolled in the program and annual refurbishing of the Motor Vehicle Engine Systems Classroom.

Sol Jamaica Host B2C Influencer Training

Sol Jamaica remains committed to educating our valued customers on the benefits of using Shell Lubricants and our Sol supplied services. On March 14, 2018 we hosted a training session which included the Basics of Lubricants, Shell product lines, features & benefits of using Shell Lubricants, as well as the Marketing and Technical support that is available to our customers. Providing this knowledge to these influencers will better assist them in recommending Shell Lubricants to the end consumer.

Sol St. Kitts Hosts Lubricants Training

Sol St. Kitts staged a series of Shell Lubricants influencer trainings in September. A number of customers representing the power generation, transport, marine, commercial, retail and high street segments attended the training sessions, which were facilitated by Lubrication Specialist Douglas McClean. The local team also journeyed to the technical college to train the students enrolled in the mechanic programme.

The sessions focused on the basics of lubrications, the Shell product formulation and the benefits of using the many lubricants that Shell has available to meet their lubrication needs.

After interviewing a number of the participants, it was clear that the training was beneficial to everyone and customers are looking forward to more of these sessions. At the end of the training, everyone received a certificate of participation and a gift.
